马朝霞：hello all my dear ielts friends ,this is 马朝霞 from Beijing New Channel school .so cool to be with you guys again!Anyway let’s get started !Hope I can be of help in many different ways!
网友 ：Can you tell me something about the biggest attractions of studying in Australian universities? University of Sydney in particular, please?
马朝霞：Good question! wow lots of good stuff there name a few :great weather ;fashion;nice people ;English environment ;Sydney opera house bondi beach yummy food different way of education chances of meeting friends from all over the world ...it’s just heven...just go for it .Plus Sydney U is the the most famous ...you know
网友 ：I will take IELTS in two weeks。But I am so worried about my speaking.How can I improve my spoken English in such a short time?
马朝霞：hey my friend 2 weeks is a long time .you need a good ielts speaking book ,say 《雅思口语高分突破》《就是要你过雅思口语6.5》《雅思口语真题题源》 go through one of this good books ,read the questions answer yourself first and then compare your answer with the answer in the book ,figure out the differences and learn from it .more importantly ,try to read sth aloud every day ,better if you can have a foreign friend to pair up as speaking partners .anyway we try ,all right ?good luck !记住马朝霞老师的话：豁出去了！跟雅思拼了！
网友 ：Do you have small ielts speaking classes in your school? I really hate large ielts classes! The teacher talks all the time and I don’t have the chance to speak at all. The teacher improves his spoken English quickly but I don’t!
马朝霞：hi gorgeous we do have small classes (雅思小班)especially 雅思口语单项班(保6.5分)18 students in a class only . most of our classes are very reasonably --sized .welcome to new channel one day
网友lyla ：Rita，之前上过你的课呢，miss u so much！我下个月考雅，之前考的口语只有5.5，想问问09年的口语话题会有怎样的一个变化趋势。在08年你给我们的42个topic基础上，还需要再准备哪些话题吗？Rita，来苏州开拓市场吧！苏州都没有新航道，Rita加油哦
马朝霞：我刚从武汉回来，还没去过苏州呢。很想去，会有机会的。我在新航道课堂上结课时给的必考42话题已包括了99%的雅思口语题目，请在你考口试前一周给我发email 或短信我会把新加的3道题给你，加油，拼了！
网友vincent ：rita，上次非常感谢您的临阵短信，我口语拿到了7呢，不过时隔这么久了，感觉自己退化严重。我很想知道的问题是如果考官根本不正眼看我，怎么和他做交流啊。ps. lyla想你想疯了都……
马朝霞：hi Vincent ，你是来自广州的学生，2008年北京新航道学校暑假6.5分保分班的吧？头发卷卷的，哈哈 。我记性不错吧，记得你还给我打电话报喜信说你口语考了7 ，很兴奋第一次考了7 ，想再考一次。very proud of you ，如果考官不看你，正常的。但你可以尽量活跃一些，回答问题时尽量幽默一些，放轻松。还是那句话，豁出去了，这次考8分哦....。
网友 ：Hi pretty girl Nice to meet you here . I had my IETLS Test last year 13/12/2008 and also I`ve got 6 on my Speaking . I will take the IETLS in 4/4/2009 this year . what i need is 7 for my speaking . If that possible .would you mind give me some suggestions or whatever and what you think to make 7 in every subject in three months if that possible. Thank you for your help
马朝霞：wow ,7 ?huh? great goal!!!anyway you still have 20days (by the way you don’t have 3months because it’s May 17th already ).first you may need to enroll for an ielts speaking class because 6 to 7 is a pretty long journey ,you may need a great teacher who can help you with certain strategies and correct your grammar mistakes or even be your speaking partner every day to improve your language fluency .Say ,in 新航道，we have this 雅思口语单项班 and 外教主题口语俱乐部 those teachers may help .at the same time you have to get a good book as i mention above, 《雅思口语高分突破》《就是要你过雅思口语6.5》《雅思口语真题题源》are really good ,try them and do morning reading ,watch friends《老友记》every day ,and remember ,no matter what you say ,explain a little bit because examiners like details . you can try the 6 W questions why what who when where which .as for the pronunciation imatation may work! try to imitate some fine lines of a movie or tv sitcom act them out in front of a mirror be confident !!!good luck!!!
网友 ：一个星期提高发音可能吗？
马朝霞：当然啦，你可以专门请一位口语特好的同学或朋友，把48个音标一个一个纠正，学会连读，快速读，表演式的读，或辩论式的读。更重要的是自己要每天大声朗读，模仿《老友记》里的对白是很好的办法。加油。ps ，新航道学校有语音语调课，李鑫老师教的哦。

马朝霞：for the beginning ,you can say :good morning !Sir/madam !It’s a gorgeous day today ,isn’t it? This is ---,nice to see you .May I take a seat,please ?记住哦，一定一定要自信，面带微笑，豁出去了！
网友 ：老师好听说澳州很多华人，去那里英语会不会不进反退啊？
马朝霞：well it depends .when i lived in Sydney I never went to China town ,never listened to Chinese music ,never watch Chinese movies and never read anything in Chinese ,surprizingly ,i never spoke a word in Chinese in that country .So i really did not feel huge inconvenience there .so everything is up to you !
网友sylvia ：马老师好，上次考雅思时考官闭着眼，我怎么才能和他交流呀？他只给我5.5分，我怎样才能到达7分？我现在在美国，美国的考官是不是给的分数相对很低呀？
马朝霞：Ha-ha that’s funny !!!Anyway poor you!!! my advice is :be active the moment you see him/her ,smile and be confident ,pay attention to your tone ,be happy greet him/her in a western way .like :good day !sir/madam brilliant day today ,isn’t it ?or you can pay a bit of compliment ,say ,you look pretty cool in the color blue (i mean if he’s in blue)or you look great today or i love your scarf ，or lovely shirt ...cheer him up first good luck!
网友 ：老师您认为雅思口语高分最关键的是什么？??
马朝霞：绝对是能否自信流畅地用英语表达。不管发音有多好，词汇多深奥，语法多准确，都是为了达到交流的目的。如果发音好但不能流利表达，语法好但不能在有限时间内描述一样物品，词汇好但辞不达意，都会让考官失去耐心。所以最重要的是，雅思考生们一定要先把流利度练好，敢于开口说，想要开口说，才一步一步把其他的拣起来。但雅思口语的4项评分标准是同样的重要，4项加起来的分除以4就是雅思口语分，所以考试前4项都要重视，如果是初学者，把流利度摆第一，加油！
网友 ：马老师好09年雅思口语有新话题吗？您认为那几个较难？
马朝霞：09年雅思口语没有出现新话题，全是我在新航道课堂上给过的雅思口语42个必考话题，但个人认为a law ，company ，recent change a performance ,animal ,garden a city that polluted 对于考生来说挺难，可以试一下准备时对照一下口语书中的答案，不然很难讲得深入，good luck！
网友 ：雅思考试中单词想不起来怎么办？
马朝霞：如果背过的单词在考试中记不起来，没关系的，可以换简单点的词，或解释。比如，你想说“清淡的食品”(light)，但记不起来了，可以说“food that not so salty( 不咸的食品)”只要达到流畅交流的目的就行。加油！
